Taquile Island, famous for the beauty of its landscape and for keeping its ancestral culture alive, is a destination that must be visited at least once in life.
Among the main activities carried out by the inhabitants are crafts, spinning and weaving; This last activity is so deeply present in their culture that, starting at the age of 5 years old, children learn to weave, achieving fabrics of unmatched textile quality over time. For this reason, they have been recognized as the best weavers worldwide; as well as its textile art has been declared "Cultural Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO, due to its high cultural value present in the symbology of its textiles.

On this trip, appreciate the finest textiles made by the most famous weavers in the world while enjoying the majestic view of the Holy Lake that Taquile Island offers.
In this private tour you will have the freedom to choose the departure time, as well as the time of stay in the destinations to visit. This is an ideal tour for couples, families, small groups and for anyone who wants to enjoy a personalized service and live the best experience (we recommend that the departure time be between 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.)
At the chosen time, the guide will pick you up from your hotel in order to then go to Puno port and board the boat to the destination of your choice (Uros Floating Islands or Taquile Island).
On Taquile Island, you can visit the handicrafts market, where you will see a demonstration of the symbology use on tipycal clothes (Andean cap, calendar sash, among others). On the Floating Islands of Uros, you will be able to visit two islands (a family island and the capital island), while receiving information about the main activities, traditions and techniques for the building of both the artificial islands and the impressive totora rafts. Also, if you wish, you can take a brief ride aboard the totora rafts (Optional ride, additional cost between S/. 10.00 - S/. 15.00 Soles).
